The Shimano SM-BTE60 charger adapter is required to charge Shimano Steps batteries of the first generations, still without a separate charger connection, directly via the eBike connection contact. The adapter is an original accessory e.g. for the Shimano Steps charger EC-E6000 and EC-E6002.
