CHECK OUT THE META TR V4
The META TR V4 is our vision of trail riding. It is designed to make you really want to ride. Most at home when pedalling, it is even more at home when you let go of the brakes downhill, where it turns into a real mini-enduro. Well balanced, it excels during technical fast descents thanks to the aggressive kinematic/geometry combo. Rider positioning when climbing is ideal for long adventures. Flow trails, enduro, bike park, climbing, descents: nothing stands in its way.
META TR V4 - META SX V4: WHICH ONE TO CHOOSE?
COMMENCAL META TR V4 SIGNATURE PURE WHITE
No compromises have been made on our SIGNATURE models. This META TR V4 is no exception to the rule, and we’ve chosen all of the components to exploit the spirit of this frame.
The FOX 36 Factory fork is a must. Its chassis provides precision in technical sections and stability through turns. The GRIP 2 cartridge offers numerous adjustments to adapt it to your style, without forgetting the fork leg decompression valves for constant optimal performance.
With large volumes of air and oil, the FOX Float X Performance shock offers consistent operation and maximum grip. Its MCU stop gently manages violent impacts and you can lock the compression when pedalling thanks to a dedicated lever.
SHIMANO take care of gear changes and braking with the Deore XT groupset. With 12-speed transmission, 4-piston calipers and 203mm discs, it has been a benchmark on the market for more than 40 years.
DT SWISS provide the rolling power with a pair of XM 1700 Spline wheels. With a welded rim for greater strength and durability, these aluminium wheels are intended to be versatile. The freehub of the DT 350 hubs inherits the 36-tooth crowns for instant engagement. Like all Swiss brand wheels, they are assembled by hand.
Finally, a SCHWALBE tyre combo of the Magic Mary and Nobby Nic Super Trail with Addix Soft and Grip rubber.

WHICH META V4 TO CHOOSE?
Discovering new trails with the META TR V4 or having fun in the bike park with the META SX V4 has never been easier. The quintessence of our META V4 platform, they are already proven and benefit from all our experience with the CONTACT SYSTEM suspension. Each excel in their respective areas.
All lengths in millimeters.
According to your riding style, choose a bike with a shorter Reach for more responsive and intuitive handling, or one with a longer Reach for more stability and confidence at high speeds. On a longer model, the front wheel is positioned farther forward, giving an enhanced feeling of security but at the expense of maneuverability and requiring more effort to move the bike.
When you find yourself between two sizes, the ideal solution is to test ride both to see which fits you best. Unfortunately, this isn't always possible. At minimum, check the Reach and Stack measurements of your current bike to compare them with those of the model you're considering. This will give you a better idea of which size to choose and how the position will feel once on the bike. You can also follow the advice below.
Body proportions vary from person to person, even at identical heights. If you have long legs and a shorter-than-average torso, you might consider choosing a bike with a shorter Reach than the recommended size. Conversely, if you have long arms and a more developed upper body, the larger size might be better suited to your morphology. Ideally, you should try before you choose.
Our kinematics are the result of advanced engineering for optimal working harmony of front and rear suspension with our bikes.
This guide is aimed to help understand exactly how things work and set everything up so that your COMMENCAL functions in the best way.
