- DESCRIPTION -

The Minion DHR II needs no introduction. This aggressive tyre has delighted many riders with enlarged DHF-derived rubber knobs that provide superior cornering traction. The central tread has bevelled knobs in two strips which promote acceleration through corners. They also contribute to braking efficiency by anchoring down during sudden braking.

Equipped with the DH 2X60 EPI casing, this is the strongest tyre in the Maxxis range. As the name suggests, it is intended for DH, freeride or bike park use. The double carcass ensures maximum robustness and the Butyl insert which starts from the bead covers a large part of the sidewalls to protect the rim and prevent punctures.

The 3C MaxxGrip rubber compound provides the best possible grip whether cornering or braking. Equipped with 3 different rubbers with a hard base, the outer surface of the tread knobs in medium rubber limits wear while ensuring the best possible traction. The side knobs are made from the most flexible rubber to maintain grip through every corner.

The Wide Trail construction is made to optimise the position of the tyre and its efficiency on modern rims (30 to 35mm internal width). This contributes to grip and rolling effectiveness.

An excellent DH tyre that has largely proven itself.
