The tread pattern provides a good balance between braking traction, cornering grip and rolling speed.
With the DH 2X60 EPI casing, it’s the strongest tyre in the Maxxis range. As the name suggests, it’s intended for DH, freeride or bike park use. The dual carcass ensures maximum strength and the Butyl insert starts from the bead and continues a large part of the sidewalls to protect the rim and prevent punctures.
The 3C MAXXGRIP rubber compound provides the best possible grip, whether cornering or braking. With 3 different rubbers: a hard base, outer surface of the tread in medium rubber to limit wear while ensuring the best possible traction. The side knobs are made of the softest rubber to maintain grip through all turns.
The Wide Trail construction is made to optimize the position of the tire and its efficiency on modern rims (30 to 35mm internal width). This contributes to grip and rolling efficiency.
