The strength of the SHIMANO STEPS EP8 motor lies in its smooth and silent operation, and the natural feel of pedalling that it provides. Flexibility also goes hand in hand with power thanks to the 250w and 85Nm of torque available. On the trails, this means maximum control, with no bucking or loss of grip when the going gets tough or the pace slows. The SHIMANO engine offers two specific profiles so you can choose the pace you want to set relevant to the ride.
Finally, the global network of SHIMANO Service Centers will provide you with certified local assistance.

We have optimized the power curves of the META POWER SHIMANO so that each profile offers a specific setup. If necessary, it is also possible to personalize them with the dedicated application.
PROFILE 1 promotes battery life in ECO mode + traction for low grip conditions in TRAIL mode.
PROFILE 2 highlights power with a TRAIL mode optimized for clearance of technical features. It is more energy intensive.
Three assistance modes are available for each profile:

The SHIMANO E-TUBE PROJECT mobile application allows the configuration of the different modes for each profile. It is possible to personalize the display on the control screen and carry out updates or diagnostics from your smartphone.

Our META POWER SHIMANO bikes are equipped with integrated SHIMANO Steps 630Wh batteries. As an indication, behind the handlebars of the META POWER SX in TRAIL mode, you can consider a range of around 35km with 1300m of climbing. By comparison, the META POWER TR in ECO mode will enable up to 80km depending on the conditions. The position of the motor allows the battery to be positioned at the lowest point of the down tube. The weight distribution is therefore optimized for the benefit of manoeuvrability.

The Cycle Computer control screen is positioned on the handlebar so that all information relating to your ride is instantly available, such as remaining range, speed, assistance mode and the profile in use. It works with the Switch Unit to change from one mode to another.

The META POWER SHIMANO engine protectors are designed to be put through the worst. The sliders help overcome obstacles easily while allowing the engine to breathe. No unwanted noise will disturb you thanks to our specific guards. The battery can be simply removed with a quarter turn using an Allen key.

In order to be able to adapt the behaviour of the bike depending on the nature of the ride, the META POWER SHIMANO are equipped with a flip chip which affects the head angle, the height of the bottom bracket and the length of the chain stays.

With 29-inch wheels, the META TR V4 promotes performance and the ability to overcome obstacles while maintaining speed and comfort.
The 29/27.5 inch wheel assembly of the META SX V4 improves its stability on descents, facilitates braking and gives it more dynamism when changing direction.

The META POWER TR is designed to ride! With 140mm travel, this bike is easy to control and forgiving at the same time. It benefits from the excellent pedal-oriented geometry of the META TR with a straightened seat tube and a long front to position the rider between the two-wheel axles correctly. Dynamic and playful, clearance is increased tenfold thanks to the 29-inch wheels, and they will also help you tackle the most technical climbs. This is the bike for riders who like to sit in the saddle and work for when it’s time to let off the brakes and go downhill.
The META POWER SX is our shuttle bike. It will take you everywhere from your local spot to alpine mountain trails. With 165mm travel and a mullet wheel setup (29/27.5), this bike is precise yet easy to handle. This is the MTB we designed for the steepest, most technical, and rough terrain.
