The work done on the geometry, frame stiffness, and kinematics forms the foundation of how a mountain bike performs. Our obsession is to combine two opposing factors: shock absorption and responsiveness. To achieve this, we developed the VCS and HVCS kinematics for each specific bike use.


The VCS is used on our T.E.M.P.O., T.E.M.P.O. POWER, META V5, META SX V5, META POWER SX 400, 800, AVINOX, and CLASH V3 platforms.


The HVCS is used on the SUPREME DH V5 which benefits from a high pivot point.

The META represents our ultimate vision of a mountain bike. It is also part of our heritage.

THE VCS IN DETAIL

The Virtual Contact System is a virtual pivot system built around a front triangle and a rear triangle connected by two linkages.

By tuning the evolution of the virtual pivot point and the suspension ratio, we can directly influence the bike’s behaviour. Extensive field testing, data acquisition systems, and race experience allow us to precisely target the desired ride characteristics.

The result is clear: VCS kinematics deliver more grip, more responsiveness, better control, and improved pedalling efficiency.

THE HVCS IN DETAIL

The SUPREME DH V5 introduces the High Virtual Contact System kinematics. It is our interpretation of the most effective system for combining responsiveness and shock absorption. This is a high-pivot, six-bar linkage system, currently the most efficient solution for balancing the opposing demands of shock absorption and responsiveness.

When riding enduro the META V5 showcases versatility with the VCS providing:

• High sensitivity at the start of the travel to smooth out brake bumps (chainless effect)
