COMMENCAL BMX PROJECT

DISCIPLINE : BMX RACE

Laura SMULDERS is the youngest of three siblings who all ride BMX. She was barely 6 years old when she began competing at national level, in the Netherlands, then at the European level. In 2008 after seeing Anne Caroline CHAUSSON win at the Beijing Olympics, it clicked for her, and she decided her goal was to become an Olympic athlete. From there, Laura went on to win title after title. She won 27 World Cup rounds in 10 years and won the overall five times! She has participated in three Olympic Games and won bronze at London 2012. Like Sylvain ANDRÉ she was crowned World Champion in Baku in 2018. Laura keeps her sights set on preparing for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games behind the handlebars of our developing BMX bike.
