The TROY LEE DESIGNS Raid knee pads are premium protective gear designed for mountain bikers who ride demanding disciplines such as DH or Freeride. Also recommended for any rider with vulnerable knees, these guards feature a highly technical design that aims to combine safety with free joint movement.
The main knee and kneecap protection, which holds a European certification, is made from D3O smart material, which hardens on impact. Anti-abrasion guards are also featured on the sides to prevent painful contact with the frame or external elements.
The main membrane is made of neoprene and is secured by a velcro strap around the thigh. As for the joint, its freedom of movement is preserved by a flexible gusset, while a breathable mesh panel is used on the back of the knee.
