To make the META V5 a reality, we applied the method that makes us win in downhill with the SUPREME DH V5. We put it to the test at the highest level and created a factory team, the COMMENCAL ENDURO PROJECT, to make it the benchmark in enduro.

After 3 seasons at the highest level, several victories, and a one-two finish at the World Championships, with the title for Alex Rudeau and second place for Louis Jeandel, the META V5 has proven itself.

The VIRTUAL CONTACT SYSTEM is designed so that the behaviour of the META V5 is in line with each situation we’ve experienced in real life riding situations.

Thanks to the VIRTUAL CONTACT SYSTEM, the bike is reactive at the start of the suspension travel to promote grip and to cope better with ever-changing terrain.

Once at SAG the META V5 offers control. It handles easily and pedals efficiency in technical areas so the rider can focus solely on sticking to the line. Dynamic and lively, it allows the rider the ability to constantly play with the terrain to gain speed and flow.

At the end of the stroke, the META V5 absorbs big shocks and remains comfortable through impacts. There’s 150mm of travel on paper but that feels like a lot more on the trails.

CHOOSE YOUR CABLE ROUTING

On all our META V5 the cables and hoses are fully routed through the frame. Maintenance is now child’s play. There is also the option of passing the cables through the head tube for a cleaner cockpit.

ADAPTABLE KINEMATICS

In order to be able to adapt the behaviour of the bike depending on the nature of the ride, the META V5 is equipped with a flip chip which affects the head angle, the height of the bottom bracket and the length of the chain stays.

With 29-inch wheels the META V5 promotes performance and the ability to overcome obstacles while maintaining speed and comfort.

ADAPTED CHAIN STAYS

The chain stays are different according to the size of the bike to maintain excellent weight distribution and balance between the front and rear wheels. Particular care has been taken to manage the deformation of the rear triangle to achieve maximum grip, and a bike that’s easy to ride and that saves rider energy.

OPTIMIZED RELIABILITY

The bearings are oversized and have grease and seals designed to increase their lifespan. The contact surface between all the elements has been optimised.

EFBE TRI-TEST® CERTIFIED

The reliability of our products has always been a priority. In addition to our own tests, we decided to put the META V5 to the test at EFBE. An independent laboratory that offers tests above the ISO 4210 standard.

The META V5 frame is therefore EFBE 5 certified. Specific to gravity and e-bike practices, it is the highest possible classification for a mountain bike in terms of reliability and resistance.
