CHECK OUT THE META TR V4
The META TR V4 is our vision of trail riding. It is designed to make you really want to ride. Most at home when pedalling, it is even more at home when you let go of the brakes downhill, where it turns into a real mini-enduro. Well balanced, it excels during technical fast descents thanks to the aggressive kinematic/geometry combo. Rider positioning when climbing is ideal for long adventures. Flow trails, enduro, bike park, climbing, descents: nothing stands in its way.
META TR V4 - META SX V4: WHICH ONE TO CHOOSE?
COMMENCAL META TR V4 ESSENTIAL FROZEN BROWN
The META TR ESSENTIAL plays the classy card with a matte finish and matching black components.
The FOX 36 Performance fork has a rigid chassis for maximum precision. It features the three-position GRIP cartridge and the Float Evol air spring which allows the rider to precisely adjust the stiffness according to their tastes and size.
The FOX Float DPS shock absorber is suited to all riders thanks to the air spring. It also offers a three-position compression adjustment.
SHIMANO take care of managing gear changes and braking with the SLX groupset. The 12-speed drivetrain is particularly reliable with a wide gear ratio (10-51) that is perfect for adventures with a lot of climbing.
The 4-piston brakes with 203mm discs offer a clean and powerful feel for calm and consistent braking in all conditions.
DT SWISS provide the wheels on this ESSENTIAL model. We find the high-end all-mountain aluminium rims: the M 502. These wheels are distinguished by their excellent weight/strength ratio.
The MAXXIS Minion DHR II and Dissector tyres with EXO casing offer an excellent combination of lateral grip and performance.

WHICH META V4 TO CHOOSE?
Discovering new trails with the META TR V4 or having fun in the bike park with the META SX V4 has never been easier. The quintessence of our META V4 platform, they are already proven and benefit from all our experience with the CONTACT SYSTEM suspension. Each excel in their respective areas.
All lengths in millimeters.
According to your riding style, choose a bike with a shorter Reach for more responsive and intuitive handling, or one with a longer Reach for more stability and confidence at high speeds. On a longer model, the front wheel is positioned farther forward, giving an enhanced feeling of security but at the expense of maneuverability and requiring more effort to move the bike.
When you find yourself between two sizes, the ideal solution is to test ride both to see which fits you best. Unfortunately, this isn't always possible. At minimum, check the Reach and Stack measurements of your current bike to compare them with those of the model you're considering. This will give you a better idea of which size to choose and how the position will feel once on the bike. You can also follow the advice below.
Body proportions vary from person to person, even at identical heights. If you have long legs and a shorter-than-average torso, you might consider choosing a bike with a shorter Reach than the recommended size. Conversely, if you have long arms and a more developed upper body, the larger size might be better suited to your morphology. Ideally, you should try before you choose.
Our kinematics are the result of advanced engineering for optimal working harmony of front and rear suspension with our bikes.
This guide is aimed to help understand exactly how things work and set everything up so that your COMMENCAL functions in the best way.
