CHECK OUT THE CLASH KIDS
The CLASH, whatever the wheel size (20, 24, 26-inch, Mullet 27.5"/26"), is our kids’ MTB designed to take on technical terrain. The Virtual Pivot Point kinematics are specifically designed for smaller people and provides comfort and grip. For children measuring between 115cm and 160cm/3.9ft and 5.3ft dependent on wheel size.
COMMENCAL CLASH XS CHAMPAGNE
The CLASH XS has been specifically designed for smaller riders looking for an ultimately playful bike and who measure up to 1.60m.
FOX take care of the suspension. We find the excellent 38 Float Performance fork with the ultra-sensitive FLOAT EVOL spring and its GRIP hydraulic cartridge, allowing compression settings to be adjusted to three distinct positions.
With large volumes of air and oil, the FOX Float X Performance shock offers consistent operation and maximum grip. Its MCU stop gently manages violent impacts and you can lock the compression when pedalling thanks to a dedicated lever.
Braking is handled by SHIMANO with a pair of 4-piston Deore XT M8120s. They are super effective with a true and aggressive bite, perfect for the bike park.
The SRAM Eagle 12-speed drivetrain features a wide 11-50t gear ratio to tackle the most technical climbs. The 165mm cranks are also suitable for shorter legs.
A KS Rage-I telescopic seat post lowers the centre of gravity and offers greater freedom of movement downhill.
SPANK Spike Race 33 wheels are a guarantee of reliability and solidity.
It is a combo of SCHWALBE Magic Mary and Big Betty Super Trail tyres with Addix Soft rubber which provides the grip.

WHICH BIKE TO CHOOSE FOR YOUR CHILD?
Whatever your child's age or build, with our KIDS range, you're guaranteed to choose a mountain bike specifically designed for them. Here, the geometries, equipment and wheel sizes are conceived as a whole, to enable children to become experienced riders.
All lengths in millimeters.
According to your riding style, choose a bike with a shorter Reach for more responsive and intuitive handling, or one with a longer Reach for more stability and confidence at high speeds. On a longer model, the front wheel is positioned farther forward, giving an enhanced feeling of security but at the expense of maneuverability and requiring more effort to move the bike.
When you find yourself between two sizes, the ideal solution is to test ride both to see which fits you best. Unfortunately, this isn't always possible. At minimum, check the Reach and Stack measurements of your current bike to compare them with those of the model you're considering. This will give you a better idea of which size to choose and how the position will feel once on the bike. You can also follow the advice below.
Body proportions vary from person to person, even at identical heights. If you have long legs and a shorter-than-average torso, you might consider choosing a bike with a shorter Reach than the recommended size. Conversely, if you have long arms and a more developed upper body, the larger size might be better suited to your morphology. Ideally, you should try before you choose.
Our kinematics are the result of advanced engineering for optimal working harmony of front and rear suspension with our bikes.
This guide is aimed to help understand exactly how things work and set everything up so that your COMMENCAL functions in the best way.
We value contact with our customers. In the event of any issue, it will work with you to find a solution. Regardless of the delivery option you choose, all your purchases include free access to COMMENCAL CARE.
