CHECK OUT THE CLASH

The CLASH has 170 mm of travel and 27.5" wheels, and is designed for one thing and one thing only - having fun! With a look of the FRS, the freeride affiliation is obvious. In addition to descending at full gas, the CLASH knows how to pedal to get to the trailhead when the lift is closed. Depending on the terrain you can optimise grip or dynamism thanks to a specific insert.

HOW TO ADJUST THE KINEMATICS

COMMENCAL CLASH RACE DARK SLATE

The CLASH RACE is aimed at all riders who have a particular preference for ROCKSHOX and SRAM components.

The ZEB Ultimate fork features 38mm stanchions with optimized rigidity for performance, a Charger 3 hydraulic cartridge with simple and precise adjustments, a DebonAir+ air spring combining sensitivity and support, and last but not least, the ButterCups cylinders which limit fatigue in the hands.

The Super Deluxe Ultimate shock is at the top of the ROCKSHOX range. The negative and positive air spring chambers can be adjusted independently, as can the high and low speed compression settings. The new adjustable hydraulic stop perfectly manages the end of travel.

Braking is managed by TRP with a pair of DH-R Evos. They are the same as those used at World Cup races by Amaury Pierron. They are powerful, robust, progressive, and precise.

The SRAM GX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain features a wide 10-52t ratio. An example of reliability and precision which allows you to approach connections with peace of mind.

DT SWISS custom wheels are specifically designed for this bike. They consist of one of the best enduro rims on the market, the EX 511, combined with reliable and solid 350 hubs.

The MAXXIS Assegai and DHR II tyre combo fits perfectly with the CLASH and the EXO+ casing brings lightweight strength.

A CLASH FOR YOUR CHILD?

Designed for young riders who want to do everything like their idols, the CLASH KIDS are the children's versions of our CLASH. The kinematics specifically engineered for lightweight riders provides all the comfort and grip needed on the most demanding terrains.

Size guide

What Size to Choose?

According to your riding style, choose a bike with a shorter Reach for more responsive and intuitive handling, or one with a longer Reach for more stability and confidence at high speeds. On a longer model, the front wheel is positioned farther forward, giving an enhanced feeling of security but at the expense of maneuverability and requiring more effort to move the bike.

Between Two Sizes?

When you find yourself between two sizes, the ideal solution is to test ride both to see which fits you best. Unfortunately, this isn't always possible. At minimum, check the Reach and Stack measurements of your current bike to compare them with those of the model you're considering. This will give you a better idea of which size to choose and how the position will feel once on the bike. You can also follow the advice below.

Morphology

Body proportions vary from person to person, even at identical heights. If you have long legs and a shorter-than-average torso, you might consider choosing a bike with a shorter Reach than the recommended size. Conversely, if you have long arms and a more developed upper body, the larger size might be better suited to your morphology. Ideally, you should try before you choose.

Suspension settings

Our kinematics are the result of advanced engineering for optimal working harmony of front and rear suspension with our bikes.

This guide is aimed to help understand exactly how things work and set everything up so that your COMMENCAL functions in the best way.
