DEVELOPMENT NEVER STOPS

The SUPREME DH V5.2 continues its relentless pursuit of one goal: helping riders go faster on the race track.

Developed at the highest level of competition, it evolves with an optimized kinematic design, a redesigned rear triangle and deeper integration.

Every detail has been refined to improve control, precision and speed.

Because development never stops.

Between 2000 and 2025, the COMMENCAL SUPREME DH claimed 55 Elite World Cup victories across both men’s and women’s categories. Today, it stands as the most successful downhill bike in history.

Every generation of the SUPREME DH has contributed to this legacy and helped us reach the performance level we know today.

ALWAYS REINVENTING

With the ever-evolving nature of downhill racing and a wide variety of tracks, strategic choice of bike settings at the start of the season is no longer relevant. It takes versatility.

The level of World Cup racing continues to grow and requires intense work from the riders in terms of choosing racing lines and limiting time spent on settings.

The requirements of the SUPREME DH V5 are simple: to make a no compromises bike that excels and inspires confidence, no matter the track.

On the technical side, we use high virtual pivot point (HVCS) kinematics. This 6-bar system gives us maximum control over the behaviour of the suspension whatever the range of travel being used.

The balance, shock absorption, and dynamism of the bike are therefore working in harmony. The goal has been reached!

Arthur QUET - Race Program Technical Manager.

At COMMENCAL, downhill mountain bike racing is much more than a discipline; it is our open-air laboratory, the perfect testing ground to push the limits of performance. The SUPREME DH V5.1, our previous model, was born from racing, studied, designed and developed to win World Cups — a mission it accomplished brilliantly on numerous occasions.

Our main objective with the SUPREME DH V5.2 was to create a bike that is more dynamic and more precise, while retaining the legendary comfort and speed through rough terrain that defined the SUPREME DH V5.1. This evolution is designed to give our athletes the machine they need to find those crucial hundredths and tenths of a second that make the difference on race day.

THE EVOLUTIONS

Amaury. He is also someone behind all this work. The objective is clear, to be the best through every sector of every World Cup track. To achieve this, we have designed a bike with kinematics and geometry that can change according to the track.

HVCS KINEMATICS

The High Virtual Contact System continues to evolve, particularly around the rear triangle. The pivot point located near the rear axle has now moved from the chainstays to the seatstays. A subtle change on paper, but one that delivers significant benefits on the trail: the bike gains responsiveness and acceleration on faster sections while providing greater comfort and control in rough terrain.

This is the essence of HVCS: combining sensations that seem impossible to reconcile.

BRAKING PERFORMANCE

Braking performance has been a major focus of development. The brake caliper is now positioned between the chainstays and seatstays. Combined with the HVCS kinematics, this evolution delivers greater control by keeping the suspension active and limiting weight transfer to the front wheel.

The frame is compatible with rotor sizes from 200 mm to 223 mm to meet the demands of the most challenging tracks.

FRAME PROTECTION

The SUPREME DH V5.2 features a new generation of chainstay and seatstay protectors called “Silent Mode”. The objective is simple: eliminate drivetrain noise as much as possible while reducing chain slap — those impacts against the rear triangle that can affect suspension performance.

These protectors use a dual-density rubber construction with a rigid base and large soft rubber fins for maximum vibration and impact damping.

INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING

On the front triangle, cable routing now runs through the head tube. Beyond the cleaner look, this solution allows the use of internal sleeves directly connected to the head tube inserts, making bike maintenance significantly easier, especially during races where every minute counts.

These internal sleeves also improve sealing against water, dust and mud.

COMPATIBILITY

With the adoption of the UDH standard, the SUPREME DH V5.2 is ready for the latest-generation drivetrains and compatible with the newest SRAM groupsets, including the XX DH T-Type.

The lower shock mount area has been redesigned to provide increased clearance and broader compatibility with most modern DH shocks, including the new FOX Float X2.

SETTINGS & ADJUSTMENTS

The SUPREME DH V5.2 retains the adaptable geometry that made the V5 successful and offers multiple frame adjustment options.

SUSPENSION KINEMATICS

A flip chip at the shock anchor allows adjustment of the suspension kinematics. It has four settings that can be adapted depending on how you ride or what you’re riding. More linear with forward anchoring, more progressive with rear anchoring.

STIFFNESS ADJUSTMENT

The removable brace located between the seatstays allows rear frame stiffness to be adjusted according to rider preference and riding conditions.

HEAD ANGLE

The head tube retains the ZS56/ZS56 standard and remains compatible with Angleset headsets, allowing head angle adjustments to suit specific needs.

GEOMETRY

Developed and validated through racing, the geometry of the SUPREME DH V5.2 is the result of several seasons of evolution of the V5 platform.

Each size has been designed to work in perfect harmony with the HVCS kinematics and deliver the same dynamic balance to every rider.

No extreme solutions, just proven proportions that prioritize speed, grip and stability on all terrain.

29/27.5 FORMAT

The 29/27.5 wheel configuration, also known as a mullet setup, has become the preferred choice of our riders thanks to its balance of high-speed stability and agility.

FLIP CHIP

A flip chip located on the lower shock mount allows geometry adjustments to suit trail conditions.

It affects bottom bracket height, head angle, reach and chainstay length.

The high position favors agility on slower, flatter and more technical tracks.

The low position improves stability on faster and steeper tracks.

REACH

Five sizes are available, with consistent reach increments allowing every rider to find their ideal position. The 56mm internal diameter head tube also allows the use of offset headsets to further fine-tune rider positioning.

EFBE TRI-TEST® CERTIFIED

The reliability of our products has always been a priority. In addition to our own tests, we decided to put the SUPREME DH V5.2 to the test at EFBE. An independent laboratory that offers tests above the ISO 4210 standard.

The SUPREME DH V5.2 frame is therefore EFBE 5 certified.
Specific to gravity and e-bike practices, it is the highest possible classification for a mountain bike in terms of reliability and resistance.

CHOOSE YOUR SUPREME DH V5.2

The SUPREME DH V5.2 is available in three complete builds, with FOX or ROCKSHOX suspension options, as well as an XS version dedicated to smaller riders.

Each build has been developed in collaboration with our suspension partners to deliver settings perfectly matched to the frame kinematics. As for the rest of the build: race-proven components. No excuses.
