META TR V4 - META SX V4: WHICH ONE TO CHOOSE?

COMMENCAL META SX V4 ÖHLINS EDITION DARK SLATE

The META SX V4 ÖHLINS EDITION brings confidence thanks to the ÖHLINS suspension know-how acquired through the achievement of 400 motorsport world titles... Ride with the best from the Swedish brand.

The TTX22 m is certainly one of the best rear shocks for enduro racing. Adopted by many professional riders, it shines thanks to its sensitivity, support, and reliability.

The RXF38 m.2 Air fork offers precision and excellent stability on slopes thanks to an air spring equipped with a specific Ramp Up chamber to adjust progressiveness at the end of the stroke, without forgetting its three-way setting TTX hydraulic cartridge.

SHIMANO manages the gear changes and braking with the Deore XT groupset. 12-speed drivetrain, 4-piston calipers and 203mm discs: for more than 40 years it has been a reference point in the market.

DT SWISS custom wheels are specifically designed for this bike. They consist of one of the best enduro rims on the market, the EX 511, combined with reliable and solid 350 hubs.

It is the combo of SCHWALBE Magic Mary and Big Betty tyres in Addix Soft rubber that will ensure the grip.

Size guide

What Size to Choose?

According to your riding style, choose a bike with a shorter Reach for more responsive and intuitive handling, or one with a longer Reach for more stability and confidence at high speeds. On a longer model, the front wheel is positioned farther forward, giving an enhanced feeling of security but at the expense of maneuverability and requiring more effort to move the bike.

Between Two Sizes?

When you find yourself between two sizes, the ideal solution is to test ride both to see which fits you best. Unfortunately, this isn't always possible. At minimum, check the Reach and Stack measurements of your current bike to compare them with those of the model you're considering. This will give you a better idea of which size to choose and how the position will feel once on the bike. You can also follow the advice below.

Morphology

Body proportions vary from person to person, even at identical heights. If you have long legs and a shorter-than-average torso, you might consider choosing a bike with a shorter Reach than the recommended size. Conversely, if you have long arms and a more developed upper body, the larger size might be better suited to your morphology. Ideally, you should try before you choose.
